Since time immemorial, Jyotish has been a system of guiding people on the path of life as it unfolds. The times during when it developed, the welfare of the King and the Kingdom were its main purpose. Movement of the visible planets, in certain asterisms, zodical signs and in relation to each other, correlated to certain weather patterns and events. Observations refined over centuries, generated a set of coded rules and principles, which when applied to a birth chart allows the Jyotishi to guide and predict likely outcomes by examining the birth chart.

The Birth Chart is the snapshot of the sky at that moment of birth. Then there is the regular movement that continues in the sky above in context of the birth chart, which is called Gochara or Transits, that create another set of patterns. Each planet is related to certain characteristics, it gains or looses status and in turn influences by its proximity and positional placement creating a myriad of patterns. A Jyotishi examines these patterns and translates them into information about the past, present and future outcomes. Its like a multivariate data points that all come together to indicate an area of life. 9 Grahas, 12 Rahisis, 27 Nakshatras, 36 Drekkenas, 108 Navamshas and other subsidiary set all interplay in a interpretive complexity to illuminate the Path of Life.

The core of Jyotisha is linked to the Vedic Philosophy of the Law of Karma. Karma is action or deed. So shall you sow, so shall you Reap. Actions cause outcomes. All of us, according to this philosophy, are part of a larger entity - the Brahmana or Param-Atma. We are born on earth to undertake a journey of experiences. And these wordly experiences are so many that it takes multiple lives to undergo all of them. These experiences are created by Maya and Moh - the illusionary world. The Patanjali Yoga Sutras explains what happens to the Atma, which in body form has the senses to engage with the world, and gets so lost that it begins to identify itself with this world as reality and through Ahamkara or Ego, goes through the pains and pleasures of the body. Worldly sense-making happens basis the information received through the senses and its interaction with the Manas which controls all actions thereon. Atma is then lost to Maya's Lobh (greed) and Bhaya (fear).

Series of lives and actions, committed in this trance-like state, accumulate and are called Sanchita Karma or that which has been collected. In this life, we are allocated a set of Karmas and have to undergo the outcomes of those karmas while performing new ones and adding back to the bank of Sanchita. What we bring into this life are Prarabdha Karma or Destined Karma. Some of these are Dridha or Fixed, example death, and others flexible. These we will experience and cannot be modified. A Jyotishi detects these, and can help build acceptance around these, allowing a person to hold them and live with equanimity. Then are the Dridha - Adridha Karma. These are the Flexible Karmas and are subject to Freewill, actions in the current time, which will create or modify life experiences related to these. Propiation through Mantra Remedy, requiring discipline, dedication and conscious awareness to follow a path of Dharma can lead to redemption from them. Then are those that are mutable or Adridha. These can be modified in this life by adapting simple lifestyle practices of good deeds. A Jyotishi detects these patterns and helps the person to understand life, its travails and traversities, its joys and pleasures. Allowing a person to bring equanimity into his life.

Meet your Jyotishi to understand a holistic perspective of life, your proclivities, strengths, areas of discontent, possibilities of life, and be informed about these when you step out of the consultation so that you can lead a life of awareness and fullness. Let that be the aim, besides wanting to knowing events of happiness and joy for yourself and your loved ones.
